Cv/bio
I was born in Jacksonville, Florida 1972. During my childhood I lived on a sailboat and traveled extensively to Canada, Europe, the Caribbean. I lived for a year in Venezuela. I have found that my observations, family history and personal experiences during my travels and those whom I have come across have had a great influence on my work. During graduate school I traveled to India for a couple months to study figurative Hindu temple sculptures, which I found fascinating for their contortive and mystical qualities. Now I teach, make work, and spend time with my young son, who is a wonderful influence on some of my work as well.
